Neo-brutalism

Heavy outlines, hard shadows, bold colour.

Neo-brutalism deliberately looks 'raw', with thick black borders, sharp offset shadows and saturated colour. It gives brands a memorable, rule-bending identity.

What is it?

It borrows from the bare interfaces of the early web and combines them with a playful layout, giving young, confident brands a distinctive voice.

It may look random, but it needs consistent rules: the same border width, the same shadow direction and a limited palette.
